Mark grew up on the Isle of Wight, UK. His earliest memories of photography were watching his Grandpa Vine project slides of photographs taken on the Island onto a large portable screen. Something must have caught his attention back then.
He started capturing images of his own whilst at university and living in London during the late 80's. It was the vibrant colour provided by Fujichrome Velvia 35mm film that captured his imagination in those days. Warmth and vibrancy are key elements in Marks photographic style today.
His career provided the opportunity to travel the world but never the time to photograph the wonderful vibrant places he visited. Now living in the Southwest of Western Australia and with more time available, Mark is developing his photography and learning more than ever before.
Observing the world we live in, making the most of the available light and developing the post production process are all skills that Mark is hoping to improve. He aims to portray the feeling of the place or his experience whist taking the image in every photograph that is posted. Hopefully you can follow his journey via Flickr.
