About Associated Students Inc. (ASI) at CSU Channel Islands

Associated Students Inc. (ASI) is the official student-led organization at CSU Channel Islands that supports and oversees a wide range of programs, services, and engagement opportunities. ASI encompasses Student Government, the Student Programming Board, The CI View student news, the Student Union, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Student Organizations & Involvement.

Everything we do is open to all students—regardless of background, identity, or experience. Our mission is to foster leadership, amplify student voices, and create meaningful, inclusive experiences across campus.

Student Government (SG) represents the voice of CSUCI students at the campus, state, and national levels. From policy advocacy to community-building, SG empowers students to drive change and participate in decision-making that shapes their college experience.

Student Programming Board (SPB) brings campus to life through large-scale events like Night Markets and Dolphinpalooza. Students gain real-world experience in event planning, marketing, and leadership—all while having a blast.

The CI View is CSUCI’s student-run news source, producing a weekly digital newsletter and multimedia content that covers campus life, student perspectives, and current events. It's a platform for aspiring writers, designers, reporters, and creators to grow their skills and share their stories.

The Student Union (SUB) is the heart of student life—a space to study, relax, connect, and recharge. With cozy lounges, event spaces, and a commitment to sustainability, the SUB is where community and comfort come together.

Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) helps students form lifelong friendships while giving back through service, leadership, and philanthropy. It’s more than Greek letters—it’s a family, a network, and a foundation for personal growth.

Student Organizations & Involvement (SOI) supports every student-led club and org on campus. From funding and event help to leadership training, SOI gives students the tools to build community and explore their interests in meaningful ways.

Ekho the Dolphin is the spirited mascot of CSUCI and a beloved face at campus events. Ekho brings energy, fun, and school pride wherever they go—posing for photos, hyping up the crowd, and spreading Dolphin cheer. Whether you spot Ekho at a student event or starring in ASI social media, they’re always ready to make a splash.
