Elliott is a master photographer with more than five decades in the medium. He began his professional career as a newspaper photojournalist in Coral Gables, Florida in the early '70s. Since then he has handled a wide variety of international assignments and projects, as an Army photographer, magazine photojournalist, and most recently as a public diplomacy Foreign Service officer for 11 years with the U.S. State Department. With a Fine Arts degree from Ohio University, he became a photography instructor at the Art Institute of Atlanta in the '80s and a corporate communications media manager in the '90s. His photographs have been exhibited in Latin America, the Middle East, and throughout the USA. In 2022, he founded the Ocala Photography Group, which he currently directs.
