2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment trains initial entry Soldiers to provide the Army disciplined, physically and mentally fit Soldiers, grounded in the Army Values, competent and confident in their Warrior Tasks & Battle Drills, who work well as members of a team.

We are located at Fort Benning, Georgia and a part of the 192nd Infantry Brigade. We focus on training civilians into Soldiers during their 10 week initial entry Basic Combat Training (BCT). Graduating Soldiers will then move on to their Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at various duty stations around the country.
