I have enjoyed photography all my life but it wasn't until I bought my Nikon D7000 in 2013 that things really took off. I'll photograph anything that looks interesting but I particularly like Macro and low light work.
My two favourite lenses are a Tokina100mmf28atxpromacro and a Sigma1020mmf456exdchsm. The Tokina is a superb Macro lens which has allowed me to really see the world in great detail and the Sigma wide angle allows for a unique view on landscapes and skies as well as making it easy to photograph buildings.
I nearly always shoot in RAW on manual settings as I find it gives you much more to work with. I then process the image in Adobe Lightroom…. this is an amazing programme for under £60 and gives you so much control of the final image.
There is always much more to learn and flickr is a brilliant place to do this. I have learnt a lot from seeing other people's work on flickr and I have been so impressed with the talent that's out there.
I enjoy posting to flickr but I'm not particularly interested in Award groups… it's just a personal thing, but I would rather just get a few meaningful comments than lots of banners from award groups.
