Hi there

My name's Al

I love going out with the camera and just capturing a moment. I try to take the camera with me at all times because you never know when that moment will come along. In the last few years I've gone from DSLR to Mirrorless as well as diving into the world of drones.

Technically I am still an amateur as I have a full time job. As an engineering asset inspector my job involves a lot of observation and an eye for detail, so my knowledge in photography both on the ground and in the air has been extremely beneficial. Also from a legal standpoint, the company I work for was legally obligated to continue the monthly inspection program during the Covid Crisis so while most of the world was shut in their homes and worked from there, that wasn't possible for our inspection team and so we remained outside. Being allowed to be outside while almost everyone else was not will remain as a very surreal experience.

The imagery that I have done in the last few years is different in some ways but the same in others. The addition of using a drone not only in my personal life but also my work life adds a whole new dimension to how I see things. And while I don't have the same equipment now as when I stated this journey, the quest to get out and explore, whilst capturing moments from the ground and now the air has never once faded away. If anything, the drive and motivation is stronger.

Please enjoy viewing the images that I post here. And maybe one day I will see you out there.

Have fun!
