The 1st Infantry Division is the oldest continuously serving division in the United States Army and the 1st Brigade is the oldest continually serving brigade in the Army. The Big Red One (as the Division is commonly known) has had many roles that helped shape the country's history. The 1st Brigade, designated as the “Devil Brigade” has been with the Division throughout these momentous events and contributed decisively to the outcomes.
