Photography as a now and then hobby going back 40 years now. Dive instructor for 30 and while used to teach UW Phot back in the 90's on 35mm (Nikonos V and Sea & Sea MotorMarine ll's mostly) found myself moving away from it in the digital age at first as the transition occurred and I was more interested in investing time and gear money for technical diving and instruction (TDI Instr #17, Cave Instructor Evaluator, Instructor Trainer for a bunch of stuff). Been shooting MFT the last dozen years, above and below water.

Anyhow, currently looking at getting back in photography more, maybe taking it more seriously (I tend not to take PP too seriously, nor curating sharing my work to make me look better than I am with just using my lucky over skills shots). However, i don't believe in "looking for a gear solution to a skills problem" so you will see me using the not latest and greatest until I truly feel it's not me anymore, it's the gear. Otherwise I am just fooling myself and not growing.

That all said, I have pulled out my old underwater 35mm gear, servicing it up and the plan is to start shooting it again and maybe even offer 35mm UW photography classes in the near future again. I have way too much gear just sitting (half a dozen Nikonos V's, few 15mm Nikkor's the GOAT of UW lenses, all the other Nikonos lenses, couple MotorMarine ll's, even the very rare and too late to the party MotorMarine lll, couple dozen plus strobes etc) and figure for those that don't want to invest in old gear to try it out, doing a clinic that includes gear may be fun for them and I both.

Either way, photography is for joy, so have joy.
