Retired and keen on lorries, steam engines and heavy haulage rigs and some plant, I have been taking photos and digital images at steam rallies, road runs and also of heavy haulage outfits across the UK since May 1992 when I went to my first CVRTC Show at the Rugby Truck Stop.

Wherever possible I am uploading images that are not yet on Flickr and are the more unusual, rare lorries, heavy haulage images, plant and AFV's I have photographed over the past 33 years.

Most of the images are scanned from 35mm prints, some early ones taken with a Canon Sureshoot, so the quality is not as good as the SLR film or modern digital images you will find on Flickr, but I do hope that viewers will find my uploads interesting.

Living in Lichfield and travelling along the A5 everyday (back and forth to Telford for 10 years) I had many opportunities to take photos of heavy haulage outfits (usually parked up at The Hollies Cafe/Truckstop) after leaving the M6 to use the A5/M42 heavy haulage route, as the elevated sections of the M6 south through Birmingham have an 80 tonnes maximum weight limit. These days such loads use the M6 Toll thus aviding the elevated sections of the M6 in Birmingham.

Take a look at my Galleries which consist of all types of Heavy Haulage trucks from across the UK, Europe and the wider World, you will also find Galleries containing examples military AFV's, military wreckers and civilian recovery vehicles from all 5 continents.
