By luck I won a YMCA summer camp photo contest at age 8. A camera has never been far away ever since. By greater fortune, as a writer and editor I worked beside some incredibly talented photojournalists in newspaper newsrooms. They were generous to share their knowledge. I'm retired now, and enjoy travel and this photo hobby as an amateur.
