ENG - I’m Javier Ipas, a geologist and amateur photographer specializing in nature, landscapes, and travel.

Photography is my way of exploring the world. Ever since I became passionate about it in the summer of 2023, I have been especially drawn to wide-open spaces, remote territories, and places where geology, light, and the passage of time leave a visible mark on the landscape.

Through my images, I seek to convey the feeling of being there: watching a sunrise in the mountains, crossing a desert beneath a star-filled sky, or discovering the beauty hidden in the most subtle details of nature.

My work takes me primarily into natural environments, from mountain ranges and coastlines to deserts and polar regions. Planning, observing light and weather conditions, and respecting the environment are essential parts of every photographic project.

More than simply documenting places, I try to create images that invite people to pause, observe, and connect with the landscape.

ESP - Soy Javier Ipas, geólogo y fotógrafo amateur de naturaleza, paisaje y viajes.

La fotografía es mi forma de explorar el mundo. Desde que me enganché a este mundo, en verano de 2023, me atraen especialmente los espacios abiertos, los territorios remotos y aquellos lugares donde la geología, la luz y el paso del tiempo dejan una huella visible en el paisaje.

A través de mis imágenes busco transmitir la emoción de estar allí: contemplar un amanecer en la montaña, recorrer un desierto bajo un cielo estrellado o descubrir la belleza que se esconde en los detalles más sutiles de la naturaleza.

Mi trabajo se desarrolla principalmente en entornos naturales, desde cordilleras y costas hasta desiertos y regiones polares. La planificación, la observación de las condiciones de luz y meteorología, y el respeto por el entorno son parte esencial de cada proyecto fotográfico.

Más que documentar lugares, intento crear imágenes que inviten a detenerse, observar y conectar con el paisaje.
