House refurbishment and garden rebuild.

My wife and I bought a house which was in need of total renovation and modernisation.

Although it was only built in the early nineties it was tired and dated and needed dragging into the 21st century.

Many of the original fittings, finishes and decor was of a poor standard and the previous owner had neglected to keep it in a good state as well as carrying out shoddy DIY work over a 20 year period. The garden was badly designed with decaying woodwork and fencing, dead shrubs and plants and hazardous concrete paving.

As an keen DIY'er and with the experience gained from three previous renovation projects and two previous garden landscaping projects, this new property revamp would keep me busy for a few more years to come.

To make it less daunting I broke down the work into sections; carrying out the back garden rebuild first, then upgrading the exterior of the house, refurbishing the inside and outside of the garage and rebuilding the front garden, then commencing inside to first refurbish the en suite and the master bedroom, refurbish and create a guest bedroom and a dressing area from the 2nd and 3rd small bedrooms, refurbish the bathroom including the airing cupboard, refurbish the landing, completely refurbish the living room which included replacement of ceiling and construction of a fireplace ______ to be continued.
