I'm a desert rat. I was born and raised in New Mexico but have lived in other states including California, Idaho, and Massachusetts. I am a professor in the art department at EPCC where I teach Sculpture, Design, Photography, and Drawing, and will be teaching Digital Media. I came to teaching late as I had a 22-year career as a telecommunications engineer, specializing in noise mitigation. The desire to teach and make art full-time set in and I made a life-changing decision and went back to school. I have a BFA in Sculpture at NMSU, Las Cruces, and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studies, at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, in Boston. I've been making art and music most of my life. I live outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico with my wife Stephanie A. Wagner, who is also an artist. I love to teach and collaborate on art projects, with scientists and musicians.
