My Themed Journal Journey began with a bit of curiosity. Across my Amazon shopping screen was a product called Washi tape. I didn't know what Washi tape was, so I Google it. Down the junk journaling rabbit hole, I fell. After watching several videos, none of the videos I watched answered the original question that I had about the Washi tape. I moved between You Tubers until I found Treasure Books. I watched a video explaining Washi tape and how to use it. I was fascinated.
The one thing Natasa said that impressed me the most was: "Use materials you have at home. You don't have to go out and buy special products." She then pulled out some of the early materials that she used. I was again impressed. I decided to make a journal. It was so much fun that I made eight journals. I used the rags that I had leftover from making a six-foot-tall mummy. So, I made the "Mum's the Word" Journal. I had such a blast.
Promptly, I decided to continue making Themed Journals. I get my inspiration from the fabric that I have in my stash. I base the journal's theme around the fabric and choose the decorations after the theme is in my head. The most satisfying thing about journal-making for me is to see what's in my head come to life in the journal.
Sadly, I didn't start my YouTube channel with my first journal. But, at the beginning of December 2022, I started my YouTube channel. I've claimed the title: "YouTube's Worst Videographer." It's a challenge. I do love sharing the Themed Journal Journey.
What prompted me to start a Flickr gallery is because my website only has 100 GB in storage for my photos. I accidentally deleted my journal photos for the Summer Journals because I thought it would still be on the main web page. The weird thing is that I deleted the photos for my digital gallery too, but they retained the photos on the main pages. So, I thought I would start a Flickr gallery for all the additional pictures and only reload one picture for the older journals on my web site. You can check me out at www.themed-journals.com.
