I'm dedicated to researching Guatemalan and Mexican indigenous textiles, and how they're made and worn. Many photos are from Oakland, CA, where there is a gigantic Mam Maya community from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. There are also many thousands of indigenous Mexicans in northern California, especially Mixtecos & Triquis from Oaxaca.
