I am a seriosly visually impaired "what used to be called blind untill it became politically incorrect, Hampshire resident. I was very lucky to be considered for a guide dog, for which I will be eternally grateful as it gave me back a measure of my independence which I thought was lost.

When I could see I was a not too shabby photo enthuiast. The images contained herein will be wobbly, out of focus and could well be of nothing at all, kind of goes with the territory.

I hope it opens the eyes of Hampshire county council and Hampshire constabulary to the reality of what they spend a fortune trying to convince people are safe and inviting place Hampshire is to walk around.

If Hampshire county council intend to continue with the ridiculous policy of allowing motor vehicles to park and therefore drive on pavements especially now that near silent vehicles are becoming more common they should at the very least ensure all pavementss are cleared and kept clear to the maximum width and make use of enforcement notices where appropriate

Parents and children, wheelchair users, and the visually impared are routinly forced into the road.

Recent legislation compels drivers to slow down and leave a two metre gap when passing pedestrians in the road The very place the council has forced them to walk. As yet Hampshire constabulary have failed to respond to enquiries what methodology they envisage using and the intended start date for enforcement. Will this simply be another peice of legislation that is never enforced?

I appreciate you dropping by and hope it is in some way informative and thought provoking.

Recently things have deterorated to such an extent that I can no longer put my guide dog through the daily trauma that is Hampshire, I wonder if that will make it into the glossy propectus?
