I am an amateur, recreational photographer who enjoys taking pictures of the natural environment such as flowers, trees, rocks, wildlife, water and sky, along with some architecture such as churches. I occasionally dabble in portraits of family or special gatherings of friends/groups when the opportunities arise, but have a lot to learn about this genre. I graduated from a Canon Power Shot to a Rebel T6 five or more years ago, and just "upgraded" to a Rebel T7 because of the familiarity with this brand of camera and the reduced learning curve it would entail (it took me until 2019 to master the controls and exposure triangle technique because of my visual perceptual, spatial and motor challenges).

I currently need to take a hiatus from photgraphy because of a brain tumour that is affecting the nerve controlling eye movement, which causes double, distorted and sometimes blurred vision. Although tricky, I'm hoping they will be able to operate and I will be back taking photos again. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for photo editing when I can.
