I am a retired Shift Instrumentation Tech in Tasmania, Australia, who finally has more time to slow down just a little and enjoy some more photography, cars, travel, walking, tinkering, camping, trail bikes, outdoors and family.

I enjoy getting bird pics, but don't have a set genre in particular, or take myself too seriously , I just enjoy capturing what I find interesting at the time. Babies, birds, old stuff, beaches, cars, landscapes and experimental also get a look in.

Many pics are just straight off a phone or unedited, I have an original Sony RX10, another Sony RX10 Mark IV , a Sony A6000 and now an A7R5 which I use with adapters to experiment with vintage lenses and their different take on things. My intent is to up my game over time, to stop buying vintage lenses (!), eventually get even better equipment and then see where it leads. When I do edit I have used ON1 RAW because of it's "for life" purchase model as I refuse to do subscriptions when ON1 give ongoing updates anyway.

Interestingly, I find I am only happy with about 1 in 40 of my photographs so I have plenty of scope for improvement !
