Even though I am just an amateur photographer, I think that taking a slice of reality and freezing time, then sharing this moment with our fellow human beings is a serious business. That gives us a responsability for what we wish to transmit to them and to those who will live on this planet earth.

You will notice different subjects and styles in my work. I consider, like the medieval painter, that the artist is there to serve and not to serve one self. A bit like in music, where some performers showcase their virtuosity while others seek to convey the composer's intentions as best they can. So I tend to adapt the style of the photo to the subject or at least to the way I perceived it when I was shooting.

Technically, I prefer to work light. Hence my choice of micro 4/3 (Panasonic gx-8) and aps-c (Fujifilm xt-3). This way I can easily take the two cameras (and at the end, I get loaded ;-). I pay particular attention to the quality of the lenses. I buy most of my equipment second-hand. It is good for the planet... and for my wallet.

Même si je ne suis qu'un photographe amateur, je pense que prélever une part de la réalité et figer le temps, puis partager ce moment avec nos semblables est une affaire sérieuse. Cela nous confère la responsabilité de réfléchir à ce que nous souhaitons transmettre à ceux qui vivent sur cette planète et à ceux qui y vivront.

J'ai donc tendance à adapter le style de la photo au sujet ou du moins à la façon dont je l'ai perçu au moment de la prise de vue.

De cette manière, je peux emporter facilement les deux boîtiers (et finalement, je suis chargé ;-). J'attache une attention particulière à la qualité des optiques. La plupart de mon matériel est acheté d'occasion. Cela fait du bien à la planète... et à mon portefeuille.
