The photos posted here are from our home/nature preserve in Panama. We bought our paradise in Chiriqui province Panama in 2005 and have spent the past 20 years letting the 75 acres "go wild" while planting specific trees, shrubs, flowers around the house for the birds, butterflies and other wildlife. We added a Tilapia pond and water features as well as about 2.5 miles of nature trails that go down to the river, waterfall, and stream and throughout the property. I have seen about 341 species of birds, 537 species of butterflies, 2476 species of moths as well as Squirrel monkeys, sloths, coatimundi, agouti (paca), ocelots, iguanas and many other lizards, and various insects and other critters. I take most of my photos and do most of my "nature watching" from the covered terrace that circles our house. With year round "spring" weather, it is easy to get addicted to daily enjoyment of nature.
I share with you that, with heavy heart, we are now listing our home/nature preserve for sale and hope to sell it to a fellow nature lover. If you know of someone who might be interested, please refer them to me: linda@chiriquipanama.net
