There's a reunited joy of being able to get behind the lens again. No more agendas, no more deadlines. Totally retired after 23 years of armed services as well as retiring from the BLM. My travels have taken me to some very special places across the US and overseas as well. One of my dear friends I met (Geoff) introduced me to photography in 2016 and taught me the values of getting away from just point and shoot and hope for the best. I embraced his philosophy each time we went for a shoot. I will never forget his comment when I looked through my lens and I said "I see it". It was statement I made because I captured a moment through the lens. This was the moment I knew I grew from point shoot and saw life through the lens. I embrace all four seasons with as much activity as I can sustain. My desire for photography is no different where it can be structural, landscape, wildlife, and street photography that I will continue to see through my lens. Glad to join this group of amazing talents and hope to get better at my craft.
