By trade, I am an educator, but my spirit has always belonged to open spaces and untouched nature. I am drawn to the quiet majesty of lonely places—the rugged mountain trails, sweeping beaches, and wild horizons that offer perspective and solitude. I have long believed that John Muir led an ideal life, finding his truest self among the high peaks and wilderness. He once wrote, “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.” Today, I am finding my way back to those sanctuaries, letting their enduring strength and beauty restore the vitality and inspiration I felt in my younger days.

In these quiet spaces, photography serves as my creative anchor and a powerful storytelling device. I dabble behind the lens to flex my creative muscles, deeply fascinated by the art of capturing light as it shifts across a landscape. If a single photograph is truly worth a thousand words, my goal is to craft images that earn every syllable—visual narratives that convey the mood, silence, and raw emotion of the wild places I explore. To me, photography is more than just taking a picture; it is a careful study of shadow and illumination, freezing a fleeting moment of natural wonder so its story can live on.

While the journey into the wilderness often begins in solitude, the greatest joy of photography comes from sharing it with others. I love talking about the nuances of capturing light, exchanging creative techniques, and sharing the unique stories behind each frame. More than just sharing my own work, I am here because I want to help rebuild a beautiful, supportive community of like-minded photographers. By creating a space where we can share our passion, learn from one another's perspectives, and celebrate the craft together, I hope we can inspire each other to keep chasing the light.
