Musical Theater Society Berlin was founded in January 2019 by Lauren Stephens. With a desire to share her love of musical theater with fellow thespians she founded MTS where expats and native Germans alike meet a couple of times a week to share their passion for musicals in their mutual language of English.

In October 2019 we set foot on stage for our first live performance with "A Walk Down Broadway 2019"to a sold out theater in Kreuzberg. We powered through the pandemonium of 2020 and performed over 50 online concerts followed by "Little Shop of Horrors" on Halloween Weekend, again to a sold out audience. Our most recent large-scale production of "Legally Blonde" ran for 5 sold-out shows in Wedding in October 2022. September 2021 also saw our second edition of "A Walk Down Broadway" at Terzo Mondo and the Laughing Lizard Playhouse. "A Walk Down Broadway" round 3 broke our musical theater winter hibernation. Another sold-out show which brought joy and tears to the musical theater community.
