I write. I read. I hang out with my family. I web-surf. I drive. I take pictures.

I rarely clean my house, although I look at the mess constantly and wonder how anyone can live in such a sty. Maybe the old adage is true, then: A clean house is a sign of a clean mind. ;)

I was married at the age of 25 (barely) to a man 1 1/2 years my junior, whom I've been calling "Daddy" since before our nuptials. He's a good man who works hard to take care of his family, & I love him very much. Our married life has been complicated, to say the least, by circumstances that were, for the most part, out of our control, (ie illnesses and bad business choices) but our devotion to one another is real, (if not at times a bit desperate due to the constraints of life and responsibility - you know, children, family, home, careers - that stuff).

We have 2 girls together, as well as a dog we call Frodo Baggins, and a cat named Purrssee. We also recently adopted 3 kittens and named them Mittens, Chloe, and Jenna. Two months after we brought them home, Jenna and Chloe gave birth to a total of 13 kittens - on the same day!

I love to garden - I love to watch that which I have planted and cultivated grow into color and loveliness before my eyes. I also swim, I hike, & camp. (Or perhaps I should say "we" camp - as I have never done so alone). I wonder. I rave. I debate. I hate politics, yet I am politically-minded. Stubbornness is my bane and eloquence my goal. I will ever attempt to answer an honest question with an equally honest response.
