I have been shooting photographs for over 50 years now.

Since first watching my father work his magic, bringing photographs to life in trays of stinky solutions, under the glow of a red lamp in our basement, my fascination with photography has never been far from my center.

I matured in Northern California, in the 70's and, being an 'outdoors' focused person, had endless opportunities for photography at every turn. Moving to Ohio at the age of only 31, all of that was gone.

I persevered, and found other ways to continue my photographic journey, I saw more detailed beauty in more intimate work, particularly florals, and in other styles of work that did not require grand vistas, but also sought those out in that part of the country, including West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina. I have always sought out places where I could get into mountains or at least 'out of the flats'.

Upon retirement from 'the job' I came back to California and now have the time and energy to explore this southern section of the Sierra, an area that I hadn't explored in the past, having mostly spent my time in the mountains between Tahoe and Yosemite.

I will eventually feature some of my old work, some of my eastern/midwestern work and new work as I do it. Not sure how much. how organized, how detailed, but it will be fun to highlight some of my work to share with people who enjoy seeing it.
