I do paint, although what i write is not important to this account. This account is simply an archive of all of Arlington's graffiti. I am doing this in an effort to save an important part of the DMVs rich graffiti history. Fairfax has recently buffed every single tunnel in the county. They have covered hundreds if not thousands of pieces, and quite literally painted over decades of history in the DMV. According to Arlington county policy, only reported graffiti on public property will be covered. This allows Arlington's tunnels to survive for so long. As of right now i have seen only a few Arlington tunnels get buffed, although when this happens it is only the portion visible from the outside. While i feel like this is more than fair, I don't know that Arlington will continue to approach tunnel graffiti in this way. I fear that someday, After numerous reports of visible graffiti in one place, Arlington may adopt an approach similar to Fairfax, and start painting over everything regardless of how visible it is.
