I’m here to celebrate the history of (mostly) American railroading. Let me say this up front: most *historical* photos here are not mine. I always give credit when I know who, what, where, when, and why. In cases when I don’t have this information I say so. If by chance you find one of your photos here, just let me know and I will make the necessary changes, up to, and including deletion if you request.

Moving on...

Midwesterner born and raised. Traveller of the Great Midwest. Introduced to trains at a young age by my father, had a layout for quite a few years, then life got busy with school, work, family etc. Recently back into the hobby, but along the way discovered a passion for rail photography - especially anything to do with my home road, the Milwaukee Road. Also love old rail advertising, historical shots, classic film with rail, rail art etc.

Life doesn't present too many chances to "foam" right now, but I grab shots here or there as I can. As any serious model railroader can tell you, work on the layout continues ... forever ... and ever ...
