I am a geologist/environmental scientist from New Zealand, now living in Melbourne, Australia. My career has got me to some wonderful remote places where I developed a love for landscape and nature photography. Started off in the days of film (1990s) and I still have my Nikon F90 (which was a fantastic film camera). Eventually joined the digital world with a D90 in 2009. Found that a bit limiting as I wanted to get into birds in flight photography, so invested in a D850 and a 200-500 mm lens which is a great combination if you can't afford the big prime lenses. Recently purchased my first mirrorless camera - Nikon Z50. I find photography a great outlet for my more creative side and welcome change from everyday work.

Might be obvious from my images that I haven't got around to using PS or LR as yet, but I like to do as little post-processing as possible. Hope you enjoy my images and I welcome critiques and suggestions - always willing to learn.
