With my firefighter and paramedic background I get to get some up close pictures of emergency equipment from time to time. Before I was a paramedic I was mostly interested in fire apparatus. While I was a paramedic my focus was on EMS and rescue pictures. Now that I'm retired from EMS I am focused mainly on fire engine and fire truck photography again. Sometimes I see something interesting such as law enforcement vehicles, fire boats, command and communication vehicles, wildfire trucks and aircraft crash trucks. It's all fair game to me and my camera. When I go to a new city I always try to stop by a local fire station for pictures and patches. It's always fun to meet and talk with my fellow fire and EMS brothers and sisters in new places and learn how their system works.
