Seeds for the Future is Huawei's global Corporate Social Responsibility flagship program as well as the longest-lasting Corporate Social Responsibility initiative than any of our other Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives around the world. The program was first launched in 2008 in Thailand aiming to nurture local ICT talents. Huawei provided participants - who were university students majored in telecommunications - with free trainings on communications equipment and hands-on training.

In 2022, Huawei launched Asia Pacific Seeds for the Future 2022 in collaboration with ASEAN Foundation and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). From August 19 to 27, the program will bring together 120 outstanding students from 16 countries across the Asia Pacific region for a 9-day digital boot camp in Thailand. From August 28 to September 4, 30 outstanding IHL students will gather in Singapore for an Acceleration Camp. The students are selected among 115 Seeds candidates from 11 countries after their one-week program and ideation competition in Thailand. During their stay in Singapore, Seeds For The Future hopes to create a platform where they can witness real life examples of how technology is changing our life for the better, to be guided by leaders from various sectors and begin to think about the practicability and realization of their ideas.
