Thank you for checking out my Flickr and this about page. This site features my haiga, which are a combination of a poem and an image. My preferred poetic format is a senryu or haiku. Both are 17 syllables, in a 5-7-5 format. They differ in their focus, with haiku being more nature derived and senryu being human focused. I also vary into reworked proverbs, sayings, and observations from time to time. My poems are then used as prompts in the generative AI known as MidJourney. The end result is a haiga, which is an ancient form of poetic meditation.
