I have been into photography since taking photography during summer school back in 1970. During my teenage years I had a darkroom for black and white photography in our garage that I built with the help of my grandfather. Just before leaving for college, I started developing color slides. During my career as a software engineer, I developed many different imaging software applications including a RIP and color conversion engine for large format printing. With digital cameras I have returned to my passion of photographing the beautiful world around us.

Equipment: Lumix FZ80 and Google Pixel 3a. I tend to do my photography while hiking or bicycling and do not want to carry a arrangement of lens so opt for the compromise of a single lens camera with 35 or 50 times zoom. Although I find cell phone cameras to be very good at certain types of photography.
