Hello, my name is Nigel Patrick Roberts and I started to take photos many years ago in my home town of Falmouth in Cornwall, England. I was a young guy with a cheap camera and no idea of how to compose a photograph and it was in the day and age of film, not digital. I had no knowledge about developing and did not get many good captures in those days, but I didn't give up! In 1973 I (aged 20 years) moved to Germany, and that is where things started to change for me. Being able to earn more, gave me the chance to upgrade to a Minolta X300 and then X700 with a good range of lenses. This lead to me starting to develop the images that I was taking in my home darkroom. A few years later, I changed my job, which unfortunately did not allow me to take many images for about eight and a half years, but this pause gave me the chance to save my pennys and buy a Rollei SLX 6x6/4,5x6 camera with two lenses, the 50mm and 80mm. Around this time, things started to change in the world as the internet was introduced and the opportunity to watch photography tutorial videos was about to develop (and of course nearly anything else). This was a great help to me and enabled me to learn many new things and gave me the opportunity to improve my photography skills. I then bought my first Canon APS-C camera, an EOS 80D and later the EOS 5D III fullframe DSLR with a nice range of “L” class lenses. These were joined by two drones, the DJI Mavic Air (first version) and a DJI Mavic Zoom, both great fun to fly and take aerial photos with. These are all wonderful cameras, but I decided that I needed to reduce in size and weight when going on longer photo tours. This was when I bought my first Fujifilm camera, the X-T2 which I love using and I now also own the X-T3 which I love even more. These cameras are fantastic, as are the Fujinon lenses that I use. Both of these cameras are intuitive and fun to use and have great image quality.

Many thanks to all and I hope that you enjoy my images. I’ll do my best to keep adding new content as time goes on.

Until then, keep safe, but also, keep taking good photos!
