The Education, Workforce, and Income Security team focuses on programs and legislation that affect the quality of life for infants to the elderly. We evaluate efforts to ensure the well-being of children, from their welfare at home through their college education. We look for ways to foster an employed and skilled workforce, and for policies to improve protections for workers without unduly burdening employers. We consider how well the nation cares for its disadvantaged, veterans, and those with disabilities. We monitor Social Security, pension plans, and personal savings trends with an eye to reform and the goal of an adequate and equitable retirement for all.

We issue over 55 reports and testimonies a year, generate financial benefits of over $4 billion.
