Retired to Geelong area, I am enjoying the relative freedom to take time outdoors having taken up bird photography. So much variety of birdlife around Bellarine Peninsula and the Connewarre and Armstrong Creek areas. I am constantly amazed at these little creatures - a wonderful gift of God to this world, to us. I am not surprised at my low camera skills, and jerky reactions to a sudden sighting, -- learning to calm down, enjoy being there and seeing while working on improving my skills, and joyful to get a few decent (in my view) for each outing, especially if it is a first-time-for-me bird. Finally brave enough to put some inline here.

I appreciate the encouragement I've received from friends, and even strangers on the way who are willing to share their encouragements and places to go to. Friendly and helpful bunch over here.
