Ever since I was a child, after seeing a magnificent landscape, a house or simply a river with moss beside it, I've always had this inner need to reproduce it with my hands. Starting naturally with drawing, I moved on to Minecraft, building all sorts of things, and as time went by and hours of building went on, I decided to concentrate exclusively on Lego. Building with Lego allows me to build complex structures and landscapes in perspective much more easily than by hand on a sheet of paper. This technical aspect of drawing puts me off a bit. Even though I like to use beautiful techniques in my MOCs so that they look their best by adding lots of detail and texturing the surfaces, I prefer a very beautiful but rather unstable moc to an ultra-stable and solid but less beautiful moc.
What's more, I've always been a big Lego fan, although I rarely buy sets, and the ones I do have often end up being nibbled. In fact, having sets on display is of little interest to me and I much prefer to use their parts for my own MOCs, even if the sets don't look like anything afterwards.
Building terrain, landscapes, nature and vegetation in Lego is something I love to do, and honestly, I prefer building that to buildings, creatures or ships. Over time, I try to make my terraformings as realistic and pretty as possible, and what I try to do in my mocs is to make sure that the point of interest for the viewer is not the building or the construction, but the terrain.
Hope you can find mocs here that you enjoy :)
