So at the tender age of 59 myself and the misses decided to purchase a group of dilapidated industrial barns, the date was November 2019 and the catalyst was a battle with lung cancer and male breast cancer. After a year of treatment and recovery which involved radiotherapy on a tumour in my lung and a a right breast removal I decided the best form of defence is attack. We are also bringing up our three grandchildren and so myself and my wife decided we needed to take life head onwards and that's exactly what we did.

Work started in Earnest is 2021 and now two years on we are entering our final phase which is the conversion of the fourth and last barn which is a red brick affair.

This album is a record of progress on the conversion of four barns into a single luxury dwelling, we are demonstrating that you can take rural industrial barns and create something special.

Using the permitted development vehicle we have made stunning progress, the majority of the work is dome by myself and Catherine and we use trades for plumbing, wiring etc. My health has been good though we still have three month scans, there is some legacy from the Radiotherapy and some side effects from the drug Tamoxifen.
