Hello internet,

 

My name is Jackson Curry Benoit. I go by Jack and Jackson interchangeably, I hale from Nova Scotia. I enjoy going out and about with my camera collection, documenting what I come across.

 

I have grown to love experimenting with all the different kinds of film stocks (both new and expired) as well as other formats too.

 

I thought it be high time I started sharing them with the online world.

 

I am going through my extensive backlog as well as shooting new stuff all the time.

 

Also sometimes I do mass uploads and return on a later date to put in titles and blurbs so check back periodically.

 

In addition to being a shutterbug, I am also a cinephile as well as a comic book fan. In general I am a massive geek. My other obsessions include snorkelling and golf.

 

I shoot film as well as digital.

Have not posted on YouTube in a while and I have yet to Post on VidLii, however I plan to do so soon.

 

Incidentally, I post a lot of Cosplay shots from conventions and when I come across it, I put the Cosplayers name / user name in the descriptions under the photos and videos, along with links to said Cosplayer's own online content.

Now if you see any without that information put in, then more than likely it is because I could not find it.

If you are one of these Cosplayers or you know who the Cosplayer is and where all the related online stuff is located, let me know and I will update the descriptions.

Now comes the point I have seen in other peoples about pages where said other people would aggressively write threats of litigation to the reader and regurgitate the word copyright so many times in the same sentence that the person reading just feels it is not worth it and clicks away. Well I am not going to do that. My photos have the all rights reserved designation because that is the default and I am lazy, but at the same time I keep it that way for safety. I am a great believer in fair dealing or as Americans call it, fair use, so I say just use common sense.

 

Now here is the other part of the about page where a bunch of people on here threaten to block the reader because of a crazy assortment of erroneous reasons like: "If you have no photos in your stream" or "If I do not know you" or " INSTANT block if you suggest how I might improve an image...not interested. " Yeah those are actual quotes. I am not going to tell you who wrote them as that kind of energy does not deserve any further time of day. Suffice it to say I am generally easy going here and unlike a really small but loud percentage of people on here, I believe in friendly welcoming about pages.
