In April 2022, I got back into painting gaming miniatures. I did a lot of adequate work for about fifteen years, but five or so years ago, my near vision started deteriorating to the point that I could no longer focus on a figure that was in brush range. I avoided the problem for a while before picking up a 3x magnifier/LED task light on an articulated arm and clamping it onto my workbench. That's been transformative.

I signed up for this account to have a place to show off, as well as to maintain a reference archive of some of my experiments (particularly with camouflage patterns and newer products on the market). I'm trying to take notes on what I do in case I accidentally stumble onto something I want to replicate, or for matching later paint schemes to current ones.
