The collected works presented here are part of the author's continuing exploration of 'Japanland' a quasi-fictional visual narrative situated in the mythical culture of contemporary Japan. All these works are shot on a Fujifilm GFX 50s II, and are all composed 'in camera' using the author's various recipes and configurations; no after effects, filters, or third-party trickery has been applied to any of these, or indeed ANY of the author's work. They were recorded as intended. For those unaware, the 1:1 ratio has nothing to do with 'social media' it is an homage to the 6x6 format of medium format film cameras and represents the ultimate aesthetic palette.
