I moved to Darwin, Northern Territory of Australia in January 1981, it was during the height of the Wet Season and having come from the Snowy Mountains in NSW I was captivated by the power and glory of the tropical Top End storms.

During my high school years I took on the subject of photography, it was a time of camera film and the process of dark room developing which helped to develop my love for the art of photography. As technology advanced it became possible to track the weather and storms via the internet, something that I became actively involved in and it was a natural progression to add photography and storm chasing to the mix.

Although based in Darwin I like to spend time at my rural property at Dundee Beach, hence my nick name Dundee Damo.

My photography focus is mostly on storm photography, but has also started to expand to landscape and other subjects as I challenge my limits and equipment.
