Two weeks after I was born, my military father got orders to move his new family to Morocco. That was the first of many moves. We never stayed in one place longer than about four years.

I grew up enjoying the nomadic lifestyle. So many places to explore! Since then I’ve taken every opportunity to travel. I finally bagged all seven continents during my 2008 trip to photograph the solar eclipse in China.

Which brings me to photography. In addition to his day-job in the USAF, my dad was an avid photographer. My first camera was an old Brownie box that he didn’t use any more. I think I was six when he gave it to me.

Of course we had a darkroom. Some of my earliest memories are helping my dad develop our latest batch of photographs. Together, we documented life wherever we happened to be at the time. It was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with photography. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy viewing these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.
