Hello! I am a graduate student whose favorite past time is watching the Katmai Brooks Bears on the explore bear cams every summer and fall. I have never been to Brooks, but I love to look through visitor photos and identify the bears. I have made galleries of bears I recognized from visitor photos. Me and many other bear cam viewers really appreciate visitor photos as they capture all the unique features that explore cams can't. In addition to being gorgeous, visitor photos help us identify bears that are around Brooks, but stay out of sight of the cameras and/or were only around for a few days a year. The high resolution of visitor pictures also make unique details such scars a lot more visible and aid us in identifying our favorite bears. I am particularly interested in sows and their cubs and noting the traits passed down generations. If for some reason, I have added your photos to a gallery and you do not want them displayed, please reach out to me.

Flickr will not allow me to organize the galleries in any meaningful way. The organization is by which is the most recently created. I have created a spreadsheet with direct links to each gallery in organized by whether the bear is female (sow) or male (boar) and numerical order.
