I am an amateur photographer living in Wales who enjoys capturing the beauty of nature in every season. I grew up in Alsace, in the northeast of France, and I have dabbled in photography since I was 10. My first camera was my Mum's old camera (a little box-like camera). I will not pretend to understand all the technicalities and intricacies of the cameras and photographic equipment I use nor can I afford very expensive equipment. For me, it is all about enjoyment and learning new things as I go along. Hopefully, I am learning and improving. Sometimes it is simply about being in the right place at the right time with the right light and the right subject. Also, beauty can be in the eye of the beholder. I hope you enjoy my photos and do not despise me for my lack of technical knowledge and my imperfect shots. I enjoy taking photos as a form of mindfulness, savouring the moment, and focusing on colours, shapes, detail. And of course, it is a way of preserving precious memories and sharing them with others.
