My name is Jason Chinchen. I am a photographer, an artist, a musician, and a high school CTE teacher. I am based in Sisters, Oregon. I have been a photographer using film since 1989. I recently acquired his first digital cameras after shooting film and wet plate photographs for many years and the transition has felt natural and enjoyable. I still shoot wetplate and film often and find that both realms have their benefits and drawbacks. I have really been enjoying being able to choose the right medium for the image I am trying to capture. Some of my favourite subjects are people, old vehicles, tools, and buildings, landscapes, rock climbing images, portraits, and most recently, macro insect photography and night skys. Fuji X-T3, X-T20, Pentax K1000, Nikon D600, Kodak, and various TLR and large format cameras. Favorite films are Ilford HP5+, Fuji Astia 100, Kodak TriX 100 and 400, and tintype photography. Editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop.
