I started playing with photography back in 2003 when my son started T-Ball. I would have never thought it would lead to where I am today. My "hobby" turned into a side hustle and then in 2016 I quit a 25 year career to pursue photography full time. I owned a print lab and studio in Tyler, TX called Moto Photo (yes from the 80's/90's. I purchased the business in August of 2016.

Unfortunately in November of 2019 I had a hemorrhagic stroke and lost the use of the left side of my body. I still wanted to be a photographer so I purchased an Sony A7 that I was able to hold one handed ( unlike my Canon 1Dx) and started shooting images while I was in rehab. Two years later I finally had to sell my studio to reduce stress in my life that I believe was a contributing factor to my stroke.

I am blessed in that most of my functions are back and I am able to walk, talk, and can use my left hand at about 60% (and climbing). I have joined a jet demonstration team as their photographer and am attending several air shows a year. I will now continue my photography journey as a hobby again.
