Whether its a curse or a blessing, I fear that what I say here will differ greatly from the majority of photographers for the simple reason that unlike many who aspire to study photography in higher education or even build a career in photography, I on the other hand unfortunately cannot claim to have been an avid photographer for the entirety of my life... I started at the age of 20 and have been involved in photography on and off over the years, I took long breaks before returning to it in earnest in the last few years. In that time it has move into the digital world and the advances have been extraordinary. I have been learning as I go along and used my last skill and have been enhancing them.

For me, photography is more than a way of making memories - it is an art form, which allows me to express myself, with the only boundaries being the ones I define for myself. When I take photographs I capture moments in time and allow the viewer to come on a journey with me. It is not about the destination, its about a journey through life in all its ups and down as well as its beauty and ugliness, I am very much at home in the Landscape and Nature as the is my passion and I want to move this to another level, I hope that journey will continue.

I have been a Olympus user since the 1980s with my first camera being the superb OM1n, it was indeed a great camera and helped me develop my photography in an analogue world, before taking an almost 20 year break because of work commitments and in the mid 2000s l was introduced to the world of digital photography and my journey resstarted and is still developing and continuing with yes Olympus, my first camera being the EM10MK1 and the M1x which I fell in love with, however with the transfer to Olympus Systems, I am equally happy with the direction the company is moving. You could say my journey has come full circuit with the OM-1 MKI which will probably be the last to bear the name Olympus name.
