The fallacy of not being passable.

I hear this and read this all the time "oh I can't go out in public, I am not passable". But just what is passable? If you dress and put on just a little makeup and present yourself as a woman, have confidence that you are presenting as a woman. Now go out into the world and look around you, Beautiful women? maybe. More than likely you will see not so beautiful women, and many of them looking like slobs.

All CIS women are definitely not beautiful, some of them are downright ugly. Some of them even look like they could be linebackers for the Chicago bears. They can't all be pin-ups. And we as crossdressers can't all be beautiful pin-up models.

When I came out of the closet and started dressing after my late wife passed away I looked in the mirror and saw a man in a dress and believed I could not pass as a woman. But then a couple of months later I went out to lunch at a restaurant with another crossdresser and everyone treated up like ladies. Did we pass? Did they know we were crossdressers? Who cares!! They treated us like ladies, that's the important part. I have been out many many times since, by myself, with another CD, with a Gentleman, and with groups of ladies and have always been treated well. After one GNO (gurls night out) in a nice restaurant the staff wanted to know when we would be back, they loved having us and wanted us to come back.

So forget about this "not passing" nonsense and get out there!!! Bernice
