I made the mistake of ignoring a painful tooth, my lower jaw molar, and it became infected and caused sepsis and I got very sick. I needed antibiotics and to have an emergency tooth extraction. Even thought this was an emergency, it still took a few weeks to get an appointment with a local dentist to get it removed. The emergency room at my hospital said they could not remove a tooth. All they could do was give me antibiotics. Learn from my mistake. Keep going to get your teeth cleaned at your dentist and if any tooth hurts, have it checked by a dentist right away and remove it if it needs to be removed. Don't put it off. Don't wait. It can hurt your heart and kidneys and even kill you if you wait too long to get it removed. Also, I want to add that my former dentist tried to save that rotten tooth by drilling it and adding a very large filling to it back in 2017. I would never make that mistake again. I had asked him to just remove it back then but he said he wanted to fill it instead. I should have just gone to another dentist and had it removed. I knew it was infected and the filling did not work on it obviously. It kept rotting anyways. It was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced in my entire life. I am 53 years old, and I don't remember any worse pain than what I experienced with that tooth and my jaw. I feel so much better now that it is no longer in my mouth.
