I bought a Nikkormat in the '70s dabbled and then lost interest. When digital Nikon SLRs arrived, I dabbled again, but found them too heavy and cumbersome. Then, when the Fujifilm X100 arrived, I was smitten. I took it everywhere and an interest in street photography emerged. Until then I had tried to avoid getting people in my photographs, only to discover that people provide an endless source of fascination. I don't intentionally set out to take street photographs, I just go about my normal business and take whatever crosses my path. I love my Fujilm X100 and XPro-2 because they have the same controls as I had on my Nikkormat. Dials for aperture, shutter speed and iso together with one for exposure compensation. I find simplicity is best. I recently bought a Zeiss macro lens and I am now boring the pants off everyone with images of plants and insects. Covid has curtailed my street photography, but now I have a new interest. Like people, flowers also provide an endless source of fascination.
